The English Gentleman at Spencer House

3:30pm – 5:30pm, Tuesday 8th January 2012
This January, for London Collections: Men, the bespoke tailors of Savile Row, along with London’s best shirt makers, shoemakers and hatters, will be presenting the modern face of British elegance to an international audience made up of buyers and journalists. London Collections: Men is the capital’s biannual showcase of British menswear brands and designers.

The English Gentleman will take the form of a presentation featuring a mix of models and real men dressed by Savile Row’s famous tailors. Forty different outfits will be shown, spread through seven of the glorious rooms inside Spencer House, London’s preeminent private palace. The clothes will range from shooting and fishing outfits to black and white tie, taking in chalk-stripe lounge suits, winter overcoats and smoking jackets. The tailoring will represent a powerful combination of beautiful materials – principally fine woollens – and first class craftsmanship.

Styled by Jo Levin, creative fashion director of British GQ.
